The school my DS ultimately attended was not even on his list.
I share this to let you know that it isn't required that the school be on the list. The folks in P-cola are very flexible when it comes to top tier universities.

DS was a awarded a 4 year to first choice UM...after he completed his apps and took a breather, other schools that weren't on his list started interesting him, and the wait to hear from admissions of UM are making him antsy. The gift of the first choice is amazing and unbelievable and I know he will be happy htere, just looking at options until we hear from them!
