We visited this weekend. My son and I loved it. Had a great tour with ltc Bowen. Talked to a few cadets. Everyone was very friendly. My son is waiting to see if his appointment comes in for usafa but if not I think the visit solidified this as has backup plan.

in short none. completely need based. Fafsa gave us 5500 even after that, with tuition room and board, uniform fees and other charges we were just north of 60K. If you get a type 2 scholarship it will cover 18K max so you are left with the slim chance you'll get a type1 or 3.

sounds about right for USAFA. I reached out to team blue and although apparently there have been some early appointments, the majority of the appointments are being decided at the beginning of march with letters going out at the end of March, early April.
