Military Dentists are trained just like any other dentist. The military also employs board certified Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons and Nurses in Suite to perform surgery under anesthesia. And to be honest, the military takes out WAY more wisdom teeth than a surgeon in "any town usa".

I do work in the dental field...follow the advice of your dentist. It is not uncommon for young 16-18 year olds to need to get them out in order to prevent issues in the future based on the placement of the teeth with respect to the mandibular nerve. It is also not uncommon at 18 for the wisdom...
To the OP:
My suggestion is that your DS reach out to his BGO and get advice on how to improve his app. That is the purpose of the BGO. If you have read any info on the process, most suggest that you reach out to the BGO before you even begin the app and let them know that you are considering...
DS has been very lucky with Academy opportunities at this point. No "denial" yet for NROTC seems he is still in the game. Just want him to have all the facts and offers in front of him to be sure he's making the best decision. He applied to all and was accepted to all colleges he listed on his...
Were there any notifications this week or can we expect some notifications next week? DS is still "no decision has been made." Just ready to close all the loops.
I noticed you posted on the USNA thread as well. Why don't you give the guy a little space to make a decision. I know it's hard to wait, but he has earned an appointment to both and it is within his right to make a selection anytime between now and the cutoff.
As has been stated previously, I have to believe that the two are not in communication with each other. DS also received an appointment to USNA but of course would like to close all the loops sooner rather than later.
So sorry to hear :/ The "check status" is not highlighted for DS when he logs in with ssn and dob, but does contain the "no decision has been made..." So it would seem that when the check status is highlighted there is some change to the determination.
I wish you the best of luck as a...
It seems an ongoing theme throughout. The only inkling we had of any movement on any apps/acceptances was a call from BGO a few days before a Congressional Letter appeared about a nomination. And even that was a surprise with no real information given. This whole process is stressful! Two direct...
I have a military background and our recruiter has not contacted at all since our DS completed his app in August. The Regional coordinator has sent 2 mass emails to remind about upcoming date and getting everything in. The only thing that did was put DS into a panic that he was missing...
