    Back Again!

My personal advice, maintain your professionalism, but try to keep a 'friendly' atmosphere. They like to see that you have a personality. I feel like a lot of people make the mistake of going in thinking "i'm going to be 100% serious, no smiling, laughing, be professional etc" but cracking a...

    Back Again!

I don't know if anyone remembers me from when I was a candidate, but I am now a plebe at USNA and I know that during the admissions process this forum helped me out a lot. So if any of you guys have any questions, feel free to post away and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. It's time to...

    Worried about Plebe Summer.

Quick Q, I have interest in trying out for lightweight crew(received an email from the coach) and boxing. Should i bring my own boxing gloves and wraps? or will they be provided. Also, i'm not sure what I did, but my left wrist has been hurting recently. I don't believe it is anything serious...

Bring clothes or not... so confused

Soon-to-be plebe here. I have read over everything online and everything they provided us with, but in the "important information for the class of 2018" book, it gives us a list of things we will be provided with (including all necessary clothes). it says "All candidates will be issued nearly...

    Physical Aspect of Naval Academy

I'm going to be majoring in MechE most likely so I don't know how much academic workload to expect. But I will definitely be joining the boxing club and will try to workout as much as possible during spare time. Thanks for all the insight

    Physical Aspect of Naval Academy

http://www.usna.edu/Student-Life/Daily-Schedule.php So during the academic year, the time set aside for "company training time" and "Varsity and Intramural Athletics" is optional? and if they are not, how would a midshipmen find other time to work out? Looking at the schedule the only free...

    Physical Aspect of Naval Academy

So, for those who have gone through, or is currently going through the academy, did you notice substantial differences in physique from before you entered USNA and after? I realize everyone will pretty much be forced to be in better shape than they were originally, but to what extent? A...

    Senior year physics?

Let me the first to say, congrats on that SAT score that is quite impressive! But keep in mind, (im sure you know this by now) SAT scores aren't everything. Make sure you are well balanced as a student in school clubs, sports, etc. 60-30-10. Regarding physics, really the service academies do...

    Any questions?

Well, I definitely intend on joining the boxing club. I've been doing muay thai (which is slightly like boxing..) but should I bring my gloves to summer? or will they be provided. I think i read somewhere that we can bring our own sports equipment? (like tennis rackets for example). And thanks...

    drug usage

They kicked out 10+ midshipmen at the naval academy for using Hookah Pens. West Point is no exception.

    Any questions?

In complete honesty, how hard is the actual physical aspect of plebe summer? Some people are saying it is actually not that bad and that as long as someone is in decent shape, it shouldnt be too bad.
