USAFA Waiting Page C/O 2028

Hello, we are waiting for a USAFA decision. Question, just trying to wrap our heads around the odds at this time
my daughter has a complete file, first time applicant, 2 nominations Congressional NOM and Honor Military Schools AFROTC NOM, Rigor classes, passed the physical exam, in ROTC in HS, 4.3 GPA, An Athlete, but was medically disqualified from DODMERB due to a history of something minor that is healed with no meds or surgery, which we understand she would need a waiver if she's competitive for appointment, but one has not been requested yet.

Based off any history or knowledge, what does this look like at this point? Thanks so much

No one can tell you your odds...butbif you got an official DQ and haven't heard from anyone about waiver or AMI that probably makes it a long shot. Do you know for a fact no waiver requested or assuming?

Well, we got some AMI with DODMERB, sent letters stating the condition was basically no big deal and is 100% healed with stretches but they still DQ. As far as the waiver request, our team at USAFA told us nothing would be updated and to be patient no decisions have been made.
Then DODMERB reached out to see if a waiver was requested for us and the response was this.

USAFA has not requested a waiver on your behalf. As stated in the email: there may be periods in between, where our office has NOT made this determination of how competitive a candidate may be in the process.  We understand that it may be frustrating to wait however that is the case in your situation.

Wish you luck and nothing is over until they tell you. I would start leaning into Plan B heavily though if no waiver requested yet.

Just got word a few minutes ago from my MoC that I got an appointment!

Not sure what district I am, but Sen. Van Hollen, Maryland.
Congrats!!! Go Air Force!

Can you share if you had an LOE/LOI and whether your portal changed recently?

I just got a call from my congressman's office saying that I have a pending conditional appointment. Does anyone have any knowledge of how this works? I'm assuming the condition is based on me passing all my classes by the end of this semester.
