Thank you! We are just waiting… my kiddo has a principal nom from his MOC. Hoping for good news but ready either way! Excited to see some activity today for some!🎉

That’s great!!! He’ll get an appointment then!! Because USAFA has to give principal Noms an appointment! Congrats!!!
 
Question! My MOC-rep (which is the only nomination I received, I also applied for VP nom) has two slots open for USAFA this year. I have already heard of a student with an LOA (who received official appointment) and a recruited athlete (who received official appointment) both on my MOC's slate. IF usafa considers me competitive and wants to offer an appointment, can I assume that I would receive that later in the admissions cycle? Say April? I feel like USAFA would appoint based on MOC slots available first then fill in the gaps with VP nominations and other ones they can "find."

Hang tight. You don't know if those other 2 were applied to your MOC. This process is way more complicated than that.

Do not overthink this. No one knows what goes on behind admission's doors.

It’s when your MOC/Senator “chooses” their number one candidate from the individuals who they nominate. USAFA AND USMA are required to give those individuals appointments. USNA is exempt from that rule though.

Ok. Does your MOC inform you where you are on his slate ? Or does he only tell the principal one ?
