Yup. I fully support your right to be a jackass, as well as the right of others to call you out for it.
Then while waiting in HNL for my flight, a Southwest aircraft deplaned adjacent to my gate. Within seconds, I thought I was inside a crowded Walmart... red bandanas, cut off shorts, sleeveless tshirts, worn out caps.
Gosh, here I was thinking I was providing a public service by recommending Southwest because of its generous cancellation policy and general support of military members. I'm sorry that, with my well-intended advice, I've instead inadvertently encouraged cadets/mids and their families to travel alongside the great unwashed known as Walmart shoppers.Southwest is like going to those super buffet restaurants with all those pajama wearing mega eaters and/or a crowded Walmart.
... so brave, in anonymous forums.Yup. I fully support your right to be a jackass, as well as the right of others to call you out for it.
... in face to face calling a 30-year spec ops Veteran a derogatory body-animal part is not conducive.... so brave, in anonymous forums.
This sounds a lot like that old "Gorilla Warfare" meme that went around ten years ago... in face to face calling a 30-year spec ops Veteran a derogatory body-animal part is not conducive.

Great fish and tackle section too at Walmart. I buy snacks and Sam's Cola to mix with rum and whiskey. Good for watching March Madness..
We can’t let this Thread hang here without defending Walmart …
Walmart has some great deals …. I buy a lot of food items there and at Costco …
Every now and then you can hit the Jackpot at Walmart on a cut of meat that was recently marked down …
I buy all of my dry and canned food items at Walmart … most of them Walmart branded including their Soup brands …. But Costco seems to bring in fruit items that I like.
If I need a big cut of meat like a 15 pound Brisket, I usually get it at Costco. I use the Costco membership for their Tires too …. Tires & gas is probably a big reason to hold on to the membership …
But otherwise, Walmart is the Place for all of your Generic Needs …

Delivery to the house, paramount+ and discounted gas at Murphy stations for 99/year. Better than prime*. Just tip the drivers in cash - still cheaper than prime/gas/time. And don't have to go the store!.

*been watching the trailer for Blue Angels. If it doesn't come to an IMAX near me, I'll re-evaluate my lack of Prime for a month lol.
Your comments prove that calling a 30-year spec ops Veteran a jackass is perfectly conducive.... in face to face calling a 30-year spec ops Veteran a derogatory body-animal part is not conducive.
... so I have been called a derogatory name by brewmeist and futureacademydad. Isn't this name calling an arrogant behavior and a feeling of extreme superiority towards others?Your comments prove that calling a 30-year spec ops Veteran a jackass is perfectly conducive.
I appreciate your 30 years of service. I really do. And I believe you are truthful in that statement of your years served. And I thank you for that. But your comments show that you are in fact a jackass.
I know several people with the same number, or more of years of service as you, and they aren't half of your jackass level.
You do not have a green light to becoming a complete jackass because you served our country. Show respect to our citizens. I shouldn't even have to tell you this.
I apologize. I really do. I forgot that someone with 30 years honorable service, and whose family served since 1898 has every right to talk down on red bandana, cut off shorts, sleeveless tshirts and worn out caps wearing Walmart shoppers.... so I have been called a derogatory name by brewmeist and futureacademydad. Isn't this name calling an arrogant behavior and a feeling of extreme superiority towards others?
Earlier I was describing an actual situation in Hawaii starting with the Department of Tourism, Commercial Businesses, and the local communities. It has gotten worse with the influx of new tourists who disrespected the natural parks (destroying) and marine wildlife (harassing/touching). Before another person (s) calls me another derogatory name, let me remind you that the U.S. sent 162 U.S. Marines and Sailors, armed with modern weapons of that era, in January 16, 1893 to overthrow the Hawaiian Monarchy. The overthrow created a generational trauma. Native Hawaiian communities were torn, battling health issues, and overrepresented in prisons. Fast forward to today the Native Hawaiian people are still suffering in which 13.5% lives in poverty, 28% are homeless, 62% have one disabling condition, and 40% of the inmates in prisons. Then the question for all of you that called me a derogatory name and those about to call me a derogatory name, was the U.S. Annexation of Hawaii similar to the Annexation of Ukraine by Russia? People tend to forget the illegal takeover of Hawaii, thus acting like they are superior to the Native Hawaiians and others. Isn't this superiority behavior similar to the Russians in the Ukrainian War and of the Nazis during WWII? Or what about the superiority complex of the KKK towards the newly freed African Americans after the Civil War? Perhaps brewmeist and futureacademydad needs to read and reread U.S. History before declaring their extreme moral superiority complex to a U.S. Veteran who served honorably for 30 years... whose family military heritage started during the 1898 Spanish -American War.
... caveat emptor. To each their own. Ok this is a banter. I Don't like Southwest... flying Southwest is like going to those super buffet restaurants with all those pajama wearing mega eaters and/or a crowded Walmart. There are personal standards and there are personal style, whatever that means.
I flew with Alaska Airlines 3 weeks ago for the first time. The boarding starts with Active Duty Military and Veterans. There's an actual menu including vegetarian... acceptable. As a 30-year Vet, I felt like being appreciated. I will fly again with Alaska Airlines.
For over 30 years, I flew with American Airlines, always.
Yearly Costco membership is paid for in savings on milk alone…...
