USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

I was in your shoes back in ‘89.

Got a last minute phone call asking me if I wanted the last seat in NAPS. The Senior Chief on the other end of the line at USNA said he remembered me because he had been stationed at the same duty station as me.

Wishing extra good vibes your way, I wish there were more fleet appointees to all of the SAs!
 
Has anyone heard of any appointments from Connecticut. I haven't seen any on the 2028 appointment forum list. Thx

I went back a few years and didn't see any reported Appointments from CT. Hoping to see that change in the next couple of weeks.
 
Hi USNA Class of 2028 Waiting, hope everyone hears back. Sorry for being gone from the forums a bit, I realized I had to "lock in" for some of my tests. Back now, and hopefully will be posting like I used to soon!

Good to know! I’m 20 years old, will be 21 in May. I have a couple more tries to apply. I am just here anxiously waiting.. turned in my application mid December so it’s been awhile but I’m excited regardless.

That’s awesome it worked out for you! The whole last minute thing does suck. It’s tough especially not knowing the status of anything, while still having an operational schedule of the ship on top of that, and still not knowing anything about the application.

A lot of people don’t know about it! I was working on my STA-21 package, then my divo told me to apply to USNA, I didn’t even know enlisted could apply. I’ve heard from a lot of people that they never meet their quota for enlisted appointments because know one knows about it. Wish it was advertised more, like the other commissioning sources (OCS, STA-21, MECP, etc.) are.

I turned 21 at NAPS as an EMFN (E-3) and had my first legal beer in Newport!

Wondering if their is a "limit" to how many can get appointments from the same HS or District?

where we live - many of the high schools have multiple kids appointed - dont worry about that.....my daughter who is a 2C had many (cant remember the exact number around 6-7) from the same congressman get appointments - they all went to USNA too!!!
