They tell you to fall in love with Plan B, but sometimes that just makes it more complicated! I'm glad she has two amazing options. Congratulations!
Really great news.....been following your different journey. It does make the appointment process even that more mysterious. Where does that VP nomination now go? In any event, your son will undoubtedly be in the USAFA Class of 2029, It appears my son will be in the Class of 2028. We are still waiting for a final decision from USMA. My son has benefitted dramatically from a self-prep year at MMI. I see this year of preparation your son has been afforded as such an extraordinary blessing. Congratulations!!

It bothers me too !!! Why ? It certainly gave false hope. I thought DS was certain to get an appointment, and I would be very happy to have your son as my boy's classmate. So here it might be the reason. After your DS was turned down, West Point tried to award 5 VP norms to candidates -- usually those who don't have norms in the pool. Maybe your DS WCS is high enough -- they decided to pull him back to the pool. But eventually they could not offer an appointment --- not all VP norms are guaranteed for an appointment.

Is this what you mean?yes!!! Okay so I guess that means I shouldn't hold out that my DS will have a decision this week. I thought that the updates to the portal only came on Fridays. Well congrats, I think we should be expecting a TWE for my DS soon then.
I like what Dr.Mom has said something like there is no plan B, just another great path, USAFA is a great path !
Don't get me wrong I would love going to USAFA. But I am just curious about what the email means about me getting into West Point.
DS was in the exact same situation when he was waiting for USNA -- with a great path offered by USMA, he just wanted to have a closure. Now he is full speed to prepare for his beast of USMA wearing combat boots, shorts and t-shirt to school everyday !
Wouldn't it come around or after May 1st?
