I am applying to service academies but I am now deciding I also want to apply for ROTC. Is it too late?

I think it's too late for Army ROTC since one of the deadlines was today?? Not too sure. I'm pretty sure it's not too late for NROTC-MO as the next board is in February. You would have to move quick as you really only have like 2-3 weeks in to get the necessary documents and interviews done. No clue about the other scholarships

NROTC-MO I belive is too late. I think most districts have already held there Candidate Day or Marine Day, whatever they call it, where they hold PT tests and interviews. But I'm not sure, I would check with your local recruiter or OSO if you have one. But hurry, like sngtlm said, board meets in Feburary. Navy options I belive have two or three more boards to convene before the cycle closes for this year. I don't know anything about Army or Air Force ROTC though.

It is not too late to apply for the final board in March! But, you will want to get on it ASAP. I believe that it took DS less time than his SA applications, but he did have to schedule an interview. Best of luck!

To correct this, AROTC has one more board in march.

For Army ROTC, here is ALL the information you need, directly from the ARTOC portal:

Cadet Command conducts 3 boards each year where scholarship selections are determined. If your application is not reviewed by one of those boards, you will not be considered for a scholarship.

Be sure to check the General Eligibility link under the Additional Information to confirm you meet the requirements.

Be sure to read the Instructions/Checklist to make sure you have completed all the steps necessary for your packet to be reviewed by the board. Refer to the Application Status link for more information about the status of your application. Both of these sections can be found in the Additional Information page.

deadline to start an Army ROTC scholarship application is 4 February (see above). Believe it or not, some people wait until the last minute to start. All it takes is to create an account and start the application, then you have about a month to complete all the requirements. Here's some good info on how to get started.

Good luck.

If you are not referring to applying for a scholarship, then it is definitely NOT too late. Just contact the ROTC units at the schools where you apply. They will tell you what to do. They have lots of students that are not on scholarship to start.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm doing AROTC and NROTC last second too. No idea why I do this to myself and I've certainly learned my lesson...
