Since the Navy wings about 1k pilots a year, I don’t see the pool getting drained anytime soon. It is so deep and the program is so mismanaged, it will have ripple effects for career paths for years to come. What a disaster for all these motivated Ensigns waiting to start.

Nine - that’s a big number! I was wondering if KP has a group of mids that workout together as they strive for that spec-ops (seal/edo) slot after graduation? I’ve heard there’s about 50 ensign billets for seals every year navy wide.

The statement that after 1 April all remaining slots come from the NWL has me a little confused. For example say State XYZ has 5 allotments and 9 “qualified” students are applying for those 5 slots. Clearly the top 5 for that state are offered appointments before 1 April. Let’s say 2 of those...
