DS deferred EA still waiting.....and worrying.

Probably because we're looking for any glimmer of info at this point....is it ridiculous to think that at this point if you haven't been cut they want you but there are limited bearths so when all the seats are taken you go to the Wait List? Will they tell you what number you are on the wait...

Joining the anxious parent. I fear my kid is also on the margins. And, has been chasing this so long and unwilling to put a back up in place. If he doesn't get in, will take a closer look at NMMI. Note, application to SUNY Maritime open until 4/1 which is a straight path to OCS. Good luck...

We're holding too. Back up is NMMI, SUNY Maritime or a gap year abroad. Trying to think positive but also be ready to dust oursevles off and put plan B in motion. Been a long year of waiting (my student was deferred from EA.)

We are from the area and would agree that New London hotels are, meh. Recommend the Tabor Inn in Mystic which is a simple, family owned hotel within walking distance of downtown Mystic. It's probably a 15 min drive from USCGA but we think worth it. And, if you haven't found our favorite local...

We are in the same boat. If of interest, if rejected, my student is considering self prep at NMMI. You can enroll as late as the summer. (And we might need the time to re-group!) Good luck to all.

Of course, my student would like a full appointment but would also be happy with prep. Does anyone know for students that are routed to prep, do they go at the same time as students who report direct to USCGA for swab summer?

My student (attended AIM) was deferred from EA, completed Dodmerb, has been in regular contact with Admissions officer…still no word in Bears Den account. If a student is wait listed or, is offered a prep school slot do those decisions also come via Bears Den? Good luck to all those still waiting!
