Just curious. Anyone else still waiting on their appointee kit? I accepted beginning of march and havent received anything yet.

that is strange....maybe call and check?? it shouldnt take a month and a half and you still havent got anything. I got mine 10 days after i sent my acceptance.....just call and double check.
 
I'm waiting on mine too, USAFA hopeful. Although I accepted around the 26th of March, so it's only coming up on a month for me. I know they received my acceptance, because my status changed to Appointment Accepted online. I'm planning to call my admin counselor this week.

I just got a call from my admissions counselor saying that i won't receive my appointee kit until closer to in processing because my appointments conditional upon grades, but aren't all appointments technically conditional?

Did you appointment state it was conditional?
 
yes they are, but yours might be a little more conditional. For me, its conditional on grades meaning as long as i dont fail a class or dramatically drop my gpa, im in. Yours might be that you have to get a really strong final gpa to secure the appointment? idk really....just a guess?
 
still havent gotten my appointment kit... i havent been waiting a month though.. i hope to get it before orientation this coming week!

technically in bold on all the intructions to appointee it says something like: appointment is conditional for continuing excellence in physical fitnessand academics, and also medical qualification.....idk exactly but something along those lines

found it...it says in bold on first page of the Instructions to Appointee "Your appointment is conditional upon continued excellence academically, socially, and physically"

and medically meaning:
"Physical qualification for Academy entrance is based on the assumption that your Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DODMERB) examination reflects your true medical status.

That does seem to make sense, at least for me anyway. My appointment letter just had the regular "Your appointment is conditional upon continued excellence...", but in addition my ALO told me I have a 'conditional appointment', conditional on this semester's final transcript (I'm a college student).

It kind of stinks though. I'd like to get my kit as soon as possible so I can finish up all the paperwork. Oh well...:rolleyes:

Yah ok. im a college student as well, guess we're in the same boat
 
All appointees have conditional appointments. I don't think there are some appointments that are more conditional than others. The Instructions to Appointees simply includes information and paperwork that MUST be done prior to inprocessing, so there's absolutely no reason why they would hold back the paperwork, since having it completed early will make their jobs easier. I'm sure it'll show up soon enough (maybe it's already on its way!):)
 
Are you a college student? My son received his appointment in October, but because he is in college he will not receive his packet until he submits his second semester transcript in May. It's their way of being sure youremain in college after you receive your appointment!!!! We're going to have a very busy couple of weeks getting everything in on time!!!!

Yes I am! Thank you for the clarification. I'm glad i'm not the only one in this situation. Guess it'll be crunch time once this semester ends.

I'm a college student as well, and I believe the same applies to me. I'm curious though, where did you receive this information?
