The USAFA Mailbox Stalking Club is doing alot better than us! C'mon there still must be stalkers out there! Let's get this thread going! The Air Force Academy has just sent out 400 appointments the beginning of this week and people should be hearing on Friday or next Monday! I wouldn't doubt that USNA is the same! Let's keep our figures crossed! I want that BFE!

Definitely still stalking. Although I can't really stalk an actual person seeing as we have PO boxes where I live. Thought I had good new last week and got super excited. It was a package for my dad. Back to checking the mail tomorrow after I get home.
DS is also waiting to hear from USCGA. On Mon. when I met my letter carrier, he handed me a TWE from the Coast Guard Academy (Oh no). It was two hours of hell until DS got home from school. He said nothing as he read the letter, and by this time I was about out of my gourd. "So, what does it say " I said. He replied "Oh, it just says that they don't have my DODMRB. I'll find out what the problem is." They contacted him today and said that they did have it, and that his file was still scheduled to go before the review board. SOOOO... Still waiting for both USNA & USCGA.

Fridays are usually the day people receive a BFE in the mail! I'm praying that mine comes in the mail! Im so excited! I hope everyone else hears good news that is still waiting!

Praying mine comes tomorrow as well! Come on BFE!!!! (wouldn't argue with a prep school offer either though!)

Im so sorry that they got a TWE :[ (btw wat does DS mean?) But encourage him or her and let them know that this isnt the last step although it probably seems like it.. this is only the beginning. Although I pray each and every day asking to get an appointment, waiting this long has really allowed me to realize what I said is true no matter what happens. What ever I get whether it be TWE or BFE (hopefully BFE
) will be where God wants me. And Yes a BFE would feel amazing and I will be over joyed! but it would still hurt an incredible deal getting a TWE.. BUT I still have a route planned to get me to the same place. So really talked to him or her about this and let them know its only the beginnning. Also most of all.. let them know your proud of them.

I think as parents we take all of you under our wings during this incredibly stressful time...we are so very proud of each of you and your accomplishments! My DS does have a Tier 1 NROTC scholarship to look forward to so we will wait to see where he lands....this has been an incredible journey for one and all.

I came home from school today and didn't get any mail I was somewhat hopeful today because I read somewhere that people tend to receive letters on friday for some reason. While I was eating my post-workout snack I watched the UPS truck pass by...then it passed by the other direction as if it had been looking for a house it coulnd't find. then it passed again, turned around in my neighboors driveway, and my heart started pounding as it looked like it may be headed towards my home.....then it passed my driveway for a final time and drove off......
I think im going insane!!

Went to the post office after I got home from school today. My heart dropped into my knees when I pulled out a TWE with a blue seal and "Department of..." address. It was something for my dad from the Department of Veteran Affairs. Then my heart dropped into my feet when I saw a second TWE with the blue seal and "Department of..." Once again, for my dad. I told him his mail is going to literally kill me. He just gave me a weird look.

As I was going through the mail, I saw a BFE with Department of the Navy on it. I thought it was an acceptance package... instead it was package for commissioning week.

This has happened to me somewhere between 10 and 20 times now. I feel your pain.
I should have mentioned in my earlier post DS does have NROTC scholarship. It takes a bit of the sting out of receiving the TWE. We are still stalking though as we haven't heard from #1 school where scholarship is applied.

What is the time line for receiving NROTC scholarship notification? I check the website consistently and it continues to say "No decision made" as I hear of people getting a yes or a no from them.
