If you are accepted to NASS, you do indeed receive your candidate number. However, until the application period for USNA, you won’t be able to start your application online. The portal opens at the same time for everyone whether or not they attend NASS.So will we receive our official candidate number (if we get one) with the results of our SS application? Seems like they take a while to send out acceptance/rejection to summer programs, and I’d love to get started on my application ASAP!
Thanks! But is the NASS application the same as the preliminary application? Or only if you are accepted? If you are accepted to NASS, you do indeed receive your candidate number. If you do attend NASS, a piece of your application will be done: candidates take the CFA during NASS. But you won’t be able to do anything officially yourself until the portal opens for all candidates.

When I applied, it took them until May-ish until I got my result! It really just depends, from what I heard I got mine later than others.Has anyone had experience with children going to Summer STEM? My 9th grader has applied. She's excited about it but I have no idea how those camps work---do they also have to wait for acceptance? She applied the day it opened--Jan 6.
I don't think so. Save your time/money and let your DS attend on their own. If a CVW opportunity comes up then that is good for parents. Is there anything during NASS that parents should plan to attend (Do I need to take time off work?)? Or do I simply need to drop off and pick up DS?
Just received confirmation of my acceptance this morning. How long does it take to hear if you are selected for summer seminar? Also, while waiting, what are things potential candidates should be doing?
