And I qoute..... "USCGA is an undergrad, so you would need to start over as a freshman in college and go through their 4-year officership program along with earning another bachelor's degree..
Why do you post part of an answer to the question from someone inquiring on Yahoo Answers! web site... quote, "Coast Guard Academy?
I am in a good university now, but I have always wanted to serve my country (USA!). I had a congressional nomination to the United States Air Force Academy, but things didn't work out (I didn't get in).
I really want to join the Coast Guard, but I don't know if I should try going for the Academy (after I am done with my degree in my current University) or should I enlist?
which way do you think is the best route?"
Here's the rest of the answer in it's full context, "It depends on how you want to serve.
USCGA is an undergrad, so you would need to start over as a freshman in college and go through their 4-year officership program along with earning another bachelor's degree. Also, you would need to be 23 or younger on their induction day (in late June) as well as passing all the necessary hurdles to qualify & be accepted."
In othr werds, U cn't use your previously earned undergrad credit earned at another college, 'IF' you were accepted into the CGA.
Posting incomplete truths about an academy and boasting football prowess are two different... nuff said
