A Dilemma

@SpectacularDiver24, rule #1 when you’re in a hole: Stop digging!

Your history of posts shows someone who may have credentials to serve as a commissioned officer. But they also betray a certain lack of maturity, humility and self-awareness. Should you become a cadet/mid, I suspect you will be “that guy.”

I'm honest, and don't hold back when it comes to fine-line comedy!
But I do add serious material to the conversation. I did it in my last reply. why do you find it offensive?

Note: I don't think I was wrong for airing my concerns with intrusive post editing by the admins on this public forum--because the "content" that was removed was a serious word (and it was actually CHANGED to another word, without a paper-trail--before then being "removed" on request).
You never answered my question.

if admissions board was reading your comments here on this forum , if you were not posting behind a screen name, would your comments reflect well on you and your chances to be admitted ?

Often people who get called out for saying something truly stupid will respond with——-I was only joking.

A weak excuse indeed

Comments made on social media or forums can in fact deep six a job offer or an admissions chance. It’s something to take seriously

All, let’s get this thread back on track. Lots of great advice for OP in here and also for those lurking who want to learn about religious options at USNA and ways to deal with difficult convos with parents who might not be supportive of your desired path.

rule #1 when you’re in a hole: Stop digging!

I've worked hard for my credentials and success. I'd rather die than quit.
Respectfully, @Small Team Bacsi
If you have a problem with how I talk--or what I talk about, for that matter-- I could give two sh*ts about it.
Same thing goes for the admissions officers.

Besides, I'm almost 99% sure I'll be medically disqualified, so rest easy knowing I probably won't be commissioned.

Hope that answers your question.

Now back to the original purpose of this post. As @NavyHoops requested.

I believe the OP has been well served by most of the responses in this thread.

The current picture in my mind…..

The key has been inserted, the nuclear launch code has been entered, the finger is on the red button, just waiting for the command.
