**Academy numbers transferred to DoDMERB to start the medical process**

1 Oct 2021: 9:08 PM MDT :wiggle:

OVERARCHING PRINCIPALS:
1) **In ALL cases, applicants, NOT PARENTS, should move out quickly/comprehensively on YOUR application for Admissions.**
2) Each Academy has their own policy on what is required BEFORE they send the applicant to DoDMERB, for DoDMERB and the applicant (NOT PARENTS) to begin their medical accession process.
3) Any and all questions regarding YOUR application, YOU (NOT PARENTS) need to ask Admissions at the specific Academy(ies) to which you applied. The only way YOUR medical exam process starts for that specific Academy, is to comply with whatever their Admission requirements are, pertaining to THEIR Academy process.
4) I will not answer questions on previous years or trends
5) **I will refer to this post/thread for questions regarding YOU, NOT PARENTS, as an individual.**

As of Close of Business today, since 1 Jul 2021, the Academies have transferred the following numbers of appicants to start DoDMERB/applicant processing for the Class of 2026:

West Point = 2161

USNA = 292

USAFA = 885

Good Morning. I kindly ask if there's an update in the numbers transferred to DODMERBS. We are very thankful for SAF. It's been invaluable. Thank you to all the moderators and contributors.

USMA did open their SSK a month before USAFA and USAFA is requiring 100% completion before forwarding to DODMERB. USMA isn't. My DS is applying to three SAs but got forwarded by USMA this week even though his USAFA and USMA apps are close in terms of completion. I'd be interested to see what those numbers are a month from now.

I was surprised that the USMA numbers were so high, though. I wonder if the number of apps is up this year. This is my first go around so I'm not sure what is typical.
Good Luck.

22:47 here. (Specifying the time so you don't wonder why I'm up at 2 AM.

I'm laughing since I correct grammar all the time. It's one of my biggest pet peeves, and many of my friends are quite tired of me correcting their "you're" and "your". If 2026 S didn't do it I would've.
My son does this all the time. My wife and I call him the grammar Nazi.
