Hi everyone. Just took the ACT at the end of my sophomore year in June and just got scores. I got a 32 (35 English, 32 math, 32 reading, 27 science). I will retake the test again during my junior year (will take SAT too).

If I do better during my next sitting in Math but worse in English, can I choose to send in the better math score and the 35 in English that I got in June? Or, can I only send in scores from one sitting

Also, do the SAs only care about math and English and not the 32 composite score that I got?

Thanks in advance!!

The SAs take your best scores. Regardless of when they were taken. Usna wants math and English but usafa takes all 4 scores into consideration.

ACT

To clarify even more, they take your highest score from each category (mix and match). They refer to it as superscoring.

An example: I have two 28s and a 27, but with my 28 in math, 30 in reading and 32 in English, I super score at a 30, which is the score they use, as opposed to the 28.

They use the highest English and highest math score. It will show up on your profile when scores are submitted to the Academy.
