How common is it to be allowed to take the PFT again after the November board but before the February board? DS is continuing to improve, but may need a bit more time to hit the 270’s or better. He started training late for the pull-ups, but I expect he will hit 20 by January.

It's very common to allow a retake. I can't say it's one hundred percent only because I don't have insight into the entire body of applicants. If no one offers a retake your DS could always request one in December or January.

Of course YMMV.

From what I have heard, it depends on the district and the officer coordinator. My hunch is that it may also depend on whether they like you and think you’re a good candidate.

My DS took one additional PFT after his initial one. He scored 270 on the 1st one and 295 on the 2nd. He had been working out with the poolees for a good part of the year so the coordinator knew that he was putting the time in. Her message was - don't show back up for a retest until you can max your pull-ups.

My guess is you are good for 1 additional test as long as you have shown improvement. There was a good amount of time between tests as well - maybe 1.5 months.

Could be. DS was allowed a retake.
