According to the DQ code D231.20, History of Adjustment Disorder is defined in part as "history of a single adjustment disorder if treated or symptomatic within the previous 6 months"- does this mean that after 6 months of no further diagnosis or treatment, it becomes irrelevant? My son has been waiting for a medical waiver due to having been DQ'ed because he met with a therapist a few times over 6 months ago. The therapy was within 6 months at the time he completed the medical forms. Will the waiver be granted if a certain amount of time passes?

"He" can do one thing and "you" can do one thing:

1 = HE = "He" can send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide "his" complete name and last 4 SSN; paste your posting above to "his" email.
2 = YOU = can google "DoDMERB;" Hit "Questions on the process;" and read paragraph 4. I'm sure he's delighted with your posting name "Worried Mom." :wiggle:

Not sure how to copy a link to a thread (I attempted it below) but if you search "Adjustment Disorder" under DoDMERB, you may find a recent thread DQ Advice for Parents.

Mr. Mullen is definitely the official source for information and if your DS is talking to him, he's in good hands. As a parent, I've also found the contributors on this forum to be really helpful.

Thank you, Mr. Mullen. My son just tried to email you to the above referenced email address, but the message bounced back. Can you please confirm your email address?
