Just found this, has some interesting info on admissions even though it is a study on how to improve the process. I'm a class of 2024 appointee but it may be useful to those interested in applying.
“The Appearance of the Rand” seems to be on an annual schedule.
There are good nuggets, but as with any dated source, it is only a static snapshot. Processes, standards, policies, application element weights, vary with time, vary by SA.
The outline is indeed handy, but should not be relied on as a primary source.
"The one admissions factor that does not appear to be working as intended is selection panel score. In the overwhelming majority of the analyses it was significant, but in the wrong direction. Higher scores were associated with a lower likelihood of success in many of the outcomes. "
I find this very interesting. I wonder what the underlying issue is?
Bias towards the extroverted?
Bias towards the Bullsh*tters?
Bias towards the white males?
Bias towards "those like me"?
