DS heard that there’s a good chance camp will be cancelled for the MS3s who were supposed to go this summer. Has anyone heard anything at all other than what was shared a week or so ago? Any thoughts on whether they may still have Army internships if they were scheduled later in the summer. I know everything is up in the air, but just wondering if anyone has any opinions or has heard any rumors. I know there’s not a lot of point in speculating but after so long being stuck in the house I am bored enough to start a thread that will likely be nothing but guesses...lol.
 
My DD has an August Internship with Army at Lincoln Labs/MIT...she was pretty bummed to learn they’ve moved forward with cancelling it as well as Air Assault etc slots for cadets. She went from a rocking summer to not so much...😟

I saw that right after I posted this. Thanks. Will definitely be tuning in. DS is of the opinion that they might be sharing some helpful info. “Why would they have a town hall if the answer to every question will be ‘I don’t know’? (His words...)

How did she find out it was cancelled already. DS hasn’t heard anything about his yet. It was with the Army Corps Of Engineers. Not sure if that makes a difference

She got a letter via email stating her internship was cancelled (definite). Her internship is likely not the same as your son’s- I’m just sharing what we have learned so far. She was told by her cadre that it was likely that schools such as air assault would be cancelled for cadets (not definite) as the DOD will prioritize catching up on the active duty personnel who are being cancelled now.
