AF ROTC Enrollment Allocation Results

Drexel,

I would not assume that they don't know anything (cadre). I would assume they are following orders.

The list cannot be released before X date at X time.

In yrs to come when you are a FC or and ADO your perspective will change.

They probably know every name, but HQ AFROTC has stated release date and time. They are officers first. Let's be honest this site is in a tizzy because some posters cadre gave a hint.

Look 91% is high. If you are above a 3.0, 95 PFT, and at least a 1200 SAT your butt is probably going. 50% of the score is CoC ranking.

I have supported all of you with the venting. I get the fear. I am just saying, don't compare what posters at other dets are saying. Trust your det. They care about you!

Its just weird that other det's have this info about percentages and the date of release and ours doesn't, that's all I was saying! Of course I trust my det, our cadre is fantastic.

hadha,

I have to ask this question. What drew you to a det that is 17 cadets?

Again, I have to ask how is it that they are not combining with other dets.

I could play the anonymous game, but I won't. DS's det last yr (330) won the best large det in the nation. They had cadets traveling 2 hrs.

I am just curious, how your det with 17 cadets hasn't been reorganized into a xtown det. I can only think that there are no dets near your college.

My detachment had more people (around 30-35) when I joined, though it has historically been the smallest det in the nation. Unfortunately, a very large number of people left my year. I was interested in a smaller and more intimate det, but if I had known that 50% of the cadets would quit and our det would be doing so badly because of it, I would have opted to go elsewhere.

Surprisingly enough, I am literally the only cadet at my det that is from the host school. There are 8 or 9 schools that are eligible to send cadets to my det, and we have around 5 schools represented.

If you're curious I would gladly PM you which det I'm from. I just don't want to put the number or name in such a public setting to avoid giving my det bad representation.

17 cadets seems like a decent number.

When I was down a FT last year I remember 2 cadets from different detachments having only 10 and 15 cadets in the entire detachment respectfully. I think the Universities were Ithaca and Troy if I remember correctly. A lot of times location and out of state costs play a huge role in a cadet's decision to attend these detachments. Though this is true I would not be surprised if some restructuring takes place such as the army ROTC program has done in the recent past.

My son's Det only has 17 cadets. 4 Seniors, 5 Juniors, 3 Sophomores and 5 Freshman. Mind you there were about 24 freshman that started the program last summer.

If I'm not mistaken, DETs can release the results when they wish, correct? Not sure why any would withhold the results. But it could happen. My hopes are high for tomorrow!

So some of you have said that they might add more people on later if they dont receive an EA right away. So how does that work? from what I was told if we dont get an EA we get dis-enrolled from the program. Would the cadre just let you continue the program with a MAYBE you will get added on later? anyone know how that works?

Pitt,

AFROTC dets must follow guidance from HQ AFROTC, and they are going to follow AF guidance.

This is akin to a promotion board. The date and time are dictated by HQ. They can release after the time, but can't prior.

In essence NO a COC can't tell cadets today if HQ said 8 a.m. EST April 11th

My cadre informed us that we were finding out tomorrow. Time to go to bed! Wish you all the BEST OF LUCK!!

when you all find out, lemme know how your det did!! i cant find out until friday even though they will get the results tomorrow due to processing paperwork and such -_-..to know that they will have them for a day not tell us is mind boggling cause the fact we've been waiting for 2 weeks ha!..48 hours to go lol

That sucks. Hope our DET doesn't do that.

We find out starting at 7am tomorrow. Were out east so im sure itll be posted fairly early.

I have a meeting with my Cadre at 0830 tomorrow. They are telling us the results. Good luck to everyone!

I want to say what a pleasure it has been to read such heartfelt posts from you young men and women who are eager to serve our country. It looks like you all are in the home stretch now and I want to wish you all the best of results in the EA. I hope the same for my cadet and am eager to hear from him once he receives the EA info. Once this information has been delivered, get back to "hard core" academics and work toward academic excellence, regardless of the outcome. There are other paths to take if this one is not opened for you , but poor academic performance will limit those other paths. :thumb: Don't let a "bump in the road" become a "road closed" by giving up if your news it not what you hope for. I know it's easy for "old people" to say these kinds of things, but there is wisdom in age, trust me!

I got PT at 0600. Hopefully they'll give us some good news! If not, I'll hear something at LLAB around 1400. Ahhhhh thank God EAs are coming out.....Air Power!!!

I think it's safe to say 99% of people will find out tomorrow. Good luck getting to sleep! I'm too excited/nervous/anxious.

Haven't heard from the Cadre at my Det yet...

Looks like we're going to find out on Friday

For those of you finding out tomorrow! Good Luck!!
