AFA to AFROTC Semester Exchange

Just in case there's any doubt; my comment was not a "slam" at ROTC; which is the source of the majority of military officers in the US Armed Forces. It was a comment on the difference in the environments that USAFA cadets and ROTC cadets face. There's no way, in my mind, that I would have been nearly as successful as I was at the academy had I been in ROTC at a "regular" college/university. I wasn't disciplined enough, had lousy study skills, and was too easily distracted. At USAFA, I wasn't allowed to be that way: I was overwhelmed! But it was so very structured, that saved me.
USAFA and ROTC are different; no doubt there, but the end product: a professional military officer, isn't judged (for the most part) by the ring on his/her finger but rather by their performance. As a commander I never cared about where my pilots came from but how did they do in flight training, how were they in the jet, and how were they are learning, adapting, and improving.
