AFROTC delays?

The USAF application portal has not been updated in awhile. While it shows that DS has completed everything, it also states that he will be considered at the next board, "which is the beginning of December". Obviously this is old news. Do we assume that he was pushed back to the January boards? I know at one point in December, the website said that there were delays due to the budget but I'm not seeing that now.

Thanks for any info!

Just a guess, but I would assume nobody has been awarded a scholarship, thus the results have yet to be released. For ADAF most offices went skeleton crew from the 21st of Dec. Until the 3rd of Jan.

I wouldn't be surprised if the results start to roll out this week. I recall for our DS he didn't learn of his scholarship until Jan. There have been years with a 10 day turn around and years that had close to a month turn around.

Meanwhile, if your child has yet to do the DoDMERB exam, take this time to get your medical records in order. People don't realize how the exam can trip them up for something they never thought was an issue. I.E. an inhaler prescribed at 15 and is a current script although never used.

You just have to wait it out, and realize the minute the 1st person gets selected the thread will be very popular with many posts.

This will also be AFROTC life. Come 200 yr. there will be another selection board. LY the SFT selection list came out about a month later than the previous 2-3 years. This year for the AFA cadets their assignments were released in December for the class of 14. Years prior release was October.

December board results were scheduled to be posted Dec. 20. However, DS received an email a few days prior stating that results were held up due to the budget not yet passing. He was told that scholarship decisions were made but that results would not be available until between January and March.

I don't know if anyone else is waiting for first board results but we'll keep you posted if we hear anything!
