AFROTC Resume?

I have been contacted both by the scholarship technicians and my local AFROTC detachment regarding interview scheduling. The cadre of the detachment recommend including a resume and "additional documents" in the interview package; however, the email I received from the application explicitly states that only the activity sheet is considered. Would bringing the recommended documents be advisable under these circumstances?

DS took his resume to all his interviews last year (BGO, ROTC detachments, nominations). It was in a new folder and he carried it in with him; after being seated, he offered a copy to each interviewer. Some took him up on it, some did not.

This is an example of a best practice for all candidates.

Like the above, my kids brought a resume. Have it ready and use to it expand on info the app may not ask for.

Always, always listen to the commander. That interview holds the most percentage weight for scholarship selection.

The commander I'm interviewing with said not to bring a resume. Don't know if this applies to all of AFROTC or if it's up to the individual commanders.

DS interviewed few days ago, first thing the interviewer asked was resume even though commander has only asked to bring copy of activity sheet. So I suggest bring your resume just in case.

Here are some old threads on the topic:
https://www.serviceacademyforums.co...dership-scholarship-for-air-force-rotc.17558/

Essentially it is a Type 1 scholarship, but linked only to that particular college.
