If your son can handle athletics on top of academics, and is disciplined to do what it takes by himself, he's got the right stuff to survive at USAFA. I remember the schedule similar as you described. School, athletics and/or band, dinner, shower, study, sleep. Repeat, repeat, repeat. It's what he wanted to do.

They're at the top of their games, they want to take on the best - it's why they do it and the USAFA is definitely one of the best challenges out there. We're lucky our country still produces such kids...
