Air Force ROTC October board 2024-2025

AF application says results are on or about 8th. But the app also says the system will be down for a few hours on the 5th - so maybe that’s a clue of an earlier release.

Did you submit your Yale REA application yet? Not sure what “scea” is.

For Yale, there are additional steps if you are interested in ROTC that need to be completed. And one of those steps allows you to notify them of you are applying or have received the scholarship.

Good luck on both - AF and Yale!

Just a heads up apparently last year the board ended on the 26th, results were due on or around November 10th but actually came out October 30th.

So basically the results will come out when they come out but maybe a little before November 8th. ( the November 5th stuff might be correct with the website being down that day also)

scea (single-choice early action) is just another name for rea. I'm planning to submit my Yale application soon, just looking it over

when you say there are additional steps, are you referring to the Yale common app question that asks if you're applying to rotc scholarships?

thank you for the good luck!!

Single Choice Early Action (SCEA) is basically the same as Restrictive Early Action (REA). You can apply to 1 private school in the Early cycle and it’s non-binding should you get in.

Once you submit and log into the portal, you will see additional questions related to ROTC. It asks about where you are on scholarship process and warns you of what a large commitment ROTC is, and then has a 100 word question related to ROTC.

Good luck!

Thanks. I just haven’t seen SCEA!

My school makes all early action/early decision for certain schools binding. It’s an agreement we sign and is well known to the schools.

Basically, if someone applies EA from our school, admissions know they are 100% coming if accepted.

I haven’t heard of that before…

I think it’s a good policy. Each year we have ~50 accepted via EA/ED to Ivy, Stanford, MIT, Chicago.

This allows another 50+ to get into those schools via RD without competing the with kids who already have EA/ED decisions.

Overall, it leads to more of us getting top tier opportunities vs 1 kid getting accepted to all the ivys.

thanks btw! I see the questionnaire in my portal. I'm going to update them now that I got the scholarship
