ALO int Q

If anyone could offer input on my situation, please let me know what you think. So I have my ALO int tmr on zoom, but I have just got a really bad cold where I need to cough or sniffle every couple of minutes. I can still think straight and my voice is still somewhat normal, so should I still proceed with the interview tmr and not reschedule? I'm thinking since it's online, I will just excuse myself at the beginning and let him know I have a bit of a cold, but what do you think?

I assume you have consulted with your parents and are taking OTC symptom management meds such as Mucinex to suppress cough and a decongestant to manage sniffles.

Let the ALO know upfront you have a cold, but you’re ready to go for your interview, but to please understand if you say “excuse me” and have to turn away from the screen to blow your nose or sip water.
Be matter of fact and then ace the interview.

Get your camera at eye level by putting something under your laptop to elevate it in a stable way, if you don’t already have it set up like that. Your viewer won’t be looking up at your poor red nose, and you’ll feel and look more natural at eye level with camera.

I use a 6-qt pot turned upside down.
