Today, my DS was assigned an USAFA Admission Advisor. This is in addition to already assigned USAFA Counselor, an ALO, and an Evaluator. All four different persons with different contacts. It is nice to know that he has so many resources to go to but we definitely don't want to ask the right question to the wrong person.

Think of it this way:
Junior applies to Flagship U's Honors Program (with advisor), Local Engineering MegaU (with advisor), Expensive&WastefulU (with advisor), ReachU (with advisor), and GoodScholarshipMatchU (with advisor). There is an "advisor" in all of them, though you may find civ college folks are not knowledgeable about Service Academies.
My suggestion: Make a PAPER chart (ours was wall sized, but we had twins, and another kid coming just a year behind), with each U or SA listed, and all DEADLINES in RED. Check it weekly. Add in any/all colleges/universities/Service Academies Junior applied to, so you don't miss any important dates. Include contact names/numbers.
Also, make a separate chart for financial aid & scholarship info (mostly for parents' info) for any civilian colleges to which Junior has applied.
For us, having such info on computer made it too easy to miss, but walking by all the info on the kitchen wall (or wherever is convenient for you - the bathroom was suggested at our house), typically a place you see regularly.
At all Service Academies, they are well aware you probably have questions & that Junior has applied to several civ colleges as well. Again, my suggestion: DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Review the websites of each SA & college, and KNOW WHAT THEY'RE ABOUT. For Service Academies, review this site and threads therein with a keen eye toward your questions. There are stickies on the homepage which will give you TONS of info (which most kids skip, though smarter parents do well to study).
Most of the old folks here can answer most of your questions, either on the public forum or through PMs. Most are more than willing to do so!
