Couple of questions on Rhodes scholarship.

1. Do the recipients get paid by Military as LT?
2. Is the time counted as TIS and TIG?
3. Is there any military obligation in addition to 5 years? I am assuming the 5 years would start after the study period.

1. They are paid as an O1 - Since this is the USNA forum, they will generally be either an Ensign or a USMC 2nd Lt
2. Yes - The time counts for TIS and TIG
3. I'm pretty sure that the Minimum Service Requirement "clock" does not start until they're out of school. I believe that there is also an additional payback just as there is for other selections such as the Olmsted Scholars
