Yeah. So this is rather complicated.
There is the PFA for HS scholarship applicants.
To contract is the Cadet Command PT test (1 min hand release pushups, situps with hands on shoulders, and 1 mile run) but at a ridiculously easy scale. (This used to to be the standard APFT so PT shouldn't stop anyone from contracting)
the ACFT is the Army test but not for record until 2022?
For Cadet Command OML points the OPAT is alive again and will be used in the spring for mission set 22 (dec 21 and may 22 graduates). At CST 21 they will maybe do a for-record OPAT and diagnostic ACFT. No idea what scale they are using. OPAT was a low/medium/high scale for branch decisions but a JAG said you cant preclude a choice based on a PT test but a branch could not pick based on a PT test. OPAT we thought quietly died last spring.
this gets us through the spring semester. Beyond that, who knows...
Edit- I should add this is what I believe to be true as of today and we are planning to execute in the Spring. Never thought I’d tell cadets to prepare rigorously for the OPAT.
