Anyone ever had their rejection withdrawn?

My DS received a rejection on Friday in his portal, followed by a TWE in the mail. He had been waiting on a medical waiver, and we assumed that spots were being filled by candidates who were 3q'ed. He went ahead and requested an application for the Class of 2021. Today he received a call from admissions asking why he had done that, and he when he said he'd been rejected, they said he wasn't supposed to have been rejected and his application was going to be considered until April 15th, pending the waiver. Anyone's else have experience with this? If today were April 1st, I'd think it was an April Fool's prank.
Of course, now it's putting Plan B on the back burner....

My DD had the same experience a couple of weeks ago. She received the TWE within her portal . . . and was devastated. She immediately sent an email to her RC, asking if there was anything she could do to improve her chances for the Class of 2021. He was not aware that a TWE had been issued. My DD was working on a medical waiver and the RC asked if she had submitted the required documentation. Long story short, our MOC called this past Friday and let DD know the BFE is in the mail! Not sure why the miscommunication on the TWE occurred, other than it was related to the in-flight waiver.

A local kid last year received a rejection from USAFA, and then two weeks before USAFA report day got a last minute call appointing him. He is there now.

Bears92, that is awesome news for your daughter. Congratulations. That must have been the best moment ever for her.

Happy to hear of your good outcome- my DS is still waiting bu this gives me some hope!

My post wasn't about my own son. It was another kid from our area. My son will be attending West Point. He accepted his appointment in January, and has been smiling ever since.

Oops, that was meant for @Bears92# - but congratulations to your DS too!
