Anyone have NROTC Marine Corps results back yet?

We were told they would announce the results for last months Board in early December, anyone get anything back yet? Our NROTC web page still says this:


SSN: ********* Date of Birth: **-***-91


Your application is at the Marine Corps District for Board Selection.
Items waiting to be processed: Math Teacher Eval
Transcripts
Debarment and Drug Statement
Statement of Understanding
Photo

BTW, the Items waiting to process are wrong, all that info is in and the Captain said it was a glitch.
 
My son had the same message ("...Math Teacher evaluation...") and his Capt. said the same thing. Anyway, all that changed last week. Now it says that he will receive a 4 year NROTC- Marine Corps scholarship. Papperwork to follow.

I just spoke with our Captain and he said our area, South East (I think it's zone 8 at Parris Island) has not given out the results yet. He used my e-mail from this morning to send out to his boss to maybe get an answer. He also said that the Boards met and made the Recommendations, National has to award them.

What part of the Country are you in qwerty?

My friend just found out yesterday that he received the 4-year Marine Option scholarship. He doesn't know where to yet though... but since he was accepted to Norwich-that's his best guess lol

How did he receive the notification? Web site or school?
 
For the first zone, new york, new jersey, etc. I was told i'd find out around the second week in december

That is exactly what we were told in the 6th or South East region, mid December and that was about the same time frame that the Army used in notifying us about their Scholarship last month. The Captain was quite clear about this and he assured me that no way was the Official announcement out yet....but soon! Maybe some School Recruiters are leaking out info (erroneously) and he said that has happened before.
 
I wouldnt deal with the website. I just talk to my recruiter and do everything through them. I have everything done by my interview and I did it all in three days. Its the most efficient way imho.
 
We are in DC area- I think it's the 4th district. Tonight the Major came by to present the ROTC award to my son. It was very thoughtful and impressive. Again, the first place we noticed the award was the website.
 
My son's recuiting office (we are in VA) sent him an email on a monday morning, checked the web site and it was there. The envelope came at the end of that week- this for NROTC - 4yr.

Fantastic! Was that the "NROTC Marine Corps Option" scholarship or just the "NROTC" Scholarship?
 
SOrry for confusing the message along here- here most of you are really only interested in marine scholarship info - His is for Navy - at VMI has his first choice for NROTC - USNA is his goal, but has back up plan of VMI and reapply - the NROTC 4yr scholarship is nice for him to have as another option of naval officer goal. He got one of the qualified letters last week too - just waiting on nom results- our congressman doesn't give out list/decision until mid january -

The NROTC Marine Corps option Boards met just under a month ago and that's the results some are waiting for here. They (ROTC) seem to be all running about 4 to 5 weeks out after the boards meet to officially announce the winners. When did the NROTC Board meet?
 
I just want to say congratulations to all the future NROTC (regular or Marine Corps) midshipmen! It's pretty awesome and a major accomplishment.

The Captain sent this e mail to us this morning after I mentioned that some people mentioned that they received notification about the NROTC MC Option scholarship.

"The website is still listing no names selected for the scholarship and
my higher headquarters has issued no list of winners.

I understand the anticipation and assure you as soon as I know
something, I will contact ***** and let him know what the Early Board
determination is.

Make sure you keep us updated when you find out the dates that early board is supposed to find out!!

Today (Sat) is a Polee Marine Corps meet at the Recruiting Station and we'll see about 50 to 60 local Delayed Entry Pollee's there and about one sixth are waiting for results, I'll ask around and take pictures.
 
Spoke with Captain M. today at the event, no word yet for NROTC Marine Corps option scholarships. Here we are at the event, btw, my son is the kid in Blue that took 5th place in the run with the Captain in the background watching his poolies.

Congrats to all! (future MC options included)

So I figured this was slightly on topic , but should a post be made to aggregate all of the scholarship winners? I notice that there have been a great deal of NROTC scholarships awarded lately(including myself:shake:) and I know once the December board results are posted we'll have a large group of future AFROTC cadets on our hands. Any opinions?
