I have already submitted my USNA application and need a successful nomination and medical examination. I cannot do my eye exam until December due to wearing CRT lenses and have my MOC interview scheduled in December as well. Is there anything I could do for a nomination/appointment or anything else I should start thinking about? Thank you.

- CFA done?
- Applied to all possible nom sources, including VP?
- Confirmed all the stuff that has to be sent in by other people has been received?
- Tending your alternate plans for NROTC, college, etc.?
- Executing and finishing this year of school strong?
- Working on your overall fitness?
- Do you already have a passport? Whether or not you end up going to USNA, college years are full of opportunity for foreign travel. If you don’t have one, get started on the application process. You do NOT need one to get an appointment or report n, but it’s easier to get one now than when/if you are a crazy busy plebe this time next year.

I assume your BGO interview is done? If your medical history contains anything you think could be problematic, you could begin to gather medical records related to that for potential AMI’s, if applicable?

The only thing I’ll add, is to enjoy your senior year (responsibly, of course). This is the culmination of a K- 12 career with many of the same people! Be present and take it all in. Next year, no matter where you end up, will be very different.

Congrats on getting everything done. That’s a huge accomplishment. Now focus on, and get excited about, alternate plans. It makes the waiting much easier.

Not to be a downer, but spend some time on your Plan B. If you don't get accepted, if you fail the medical, or if you can't find a nom then you're going to need another school. Investigate ROTC and decide if that's part of your plan, and then go find a place to go if your academy dream is deferred.

Don't do anything stupid! Alcohol, drugs, pregnant, social media, cars, etc. The list is exhausting. A momentary mistake can have life altering consequences, not only for SAs but all schools. I know it won't happen to you, but someone else.
