AoG MMI Schedule Week of August 12th

Looking for some information for the week of August 12th for incoming AoG students at MMI.

Will the students be getting their schedules, rooms, books, additional needed supplies, etc... on the 12th or the 13th?

We received an invitation for an event on the 13th - is there also a parents/students dinner on the 12th as well?

Is the first day of classes on the 13th or the 14th?

ECP and Leadership program students will be arriving on the 12th. SAP students (including AOG) report in on the 13th. They will be given their uniform issue, room assignments, haircuts, and other admin work then. There is also a parent's meeting with the President, Commandant, Dean, and Athletic director that afternoon, and the reception is that evening. The new cadets will start their training in earnest after the reception.

That week they will meet with their academic advisors and receive their official schedules. Training will continue through the next several weeks until they become recognized as official members of the Corps of Cadets on the 30th.

In the meantime, classes begin on the 19th, so it will be a busy August for everyone!

DS already got his schedule after logging on to his MMI email/portal. Also, called and got his room number, mailbox number and his roommate info already. There is a dinner on the 12th. However, I believe you have to RSVP with LTC Bauer.
 
The dinner on the afternoon/evening of check-in day is the last time you will see them for awhile. Ours was something I doubt I will ever forget. It was a very nice event and it allowed for us to get to know some other parents and the staff.

Then came the rain showers, along with all of the mommas crying as the new cadets formed up and marched off into the night in the rain.

It was glorious!:biggrin::thumb:
 
Thanks for the replies. Got the RSVP for dinner on the 12th turned in and also got the invitation for the reception on the 13th. So looking forward to it!
