Hi, this may seem like a dumb question but it has me a bit worried. During my junior year in high school, I took English and Composition, which is an English elective. For the English teacher letter of recommendation I put down my composition teacher. My question is: is that okay that it was for an English elective? Also, this same teacher was my sophomore English teacher as well. Looking back at the directions I saw that it says junior or senior English teacher. I'm not quite sure if this is a big deal or okay. Any input is appreciated, thank you.

The academy is not going to launch an NIS investigation. If the teacher is an ENGLISH teacher, and it was YOUR teacher - it's not going to matter. My guess is that they will never know - or care.

I'm guessing, of the many online inputs the teacher will have to make, two of them will be ...

1. Are you a high school English teacher? Yes/No
2. Are you currently the English teacher for this candidate? Yes/No

Both of these will be answered "Yes."

That should satisfy the requirements, I would think.
