I completed my application to USNA and in the portal it say my file is complete pending review. What is a realistic timeframe on when I will hear back/when my file will be reviewed?

My son’s portal has said this since the end of July.
 
No one knows when your file will reviewed. Whether you're a top candidate or not, whether you’re accepted or not, be prepared to wait until April to hear a decision. That’s just how it is. Best wishes.
 
You will not know when your file is reviewed. You could find out anytime from now until April 15th. Most hear in Jan-Mar, but it is not uncommon to hear at the deadline either.
 
Last year, I finished my application in September and didn’t hear back until April 15.
 
Since Academy admissions operates on a "rolling admissions" basis there are candidates who have already received an LOA and others who will be selected for the wait list and may not receive a final notice until the week before I-Day... and all points in-between. Focus on your NROTC scholarship app and the five college apps. Don't give up the ship!
