Application Status Question

Hello All,

I am somewhat confused about a recent change in my application status online. Since December, when I recieved an LOA, my status had reflected this. Unfortunately, I found myself in the group of people with an LOA, but no nomination. After having not checked in a few days, I logged on today and saw

"Your Application is: Complete"

Is this because the application for Class of 2016 has opened, or is the TWE in the mail (no mail delivery today!?)

I'd greatly appreciate some input.

This is definitely difficult. The fact that you didn't receive a TWE is hopeful. That, along with the fact that you got an LOA. However; the bottom line is you MUST have a nomination, or you can't have an appointment. It's a shame that many MOC's relegate their duties of giving appointments to the academy, believing that the academy KNOWS BEST how their candidates stack up. Yet, when the academy gives someone an LOA; basically their version of early admissions and saying they really want you; yet your MOCs don't believe them enough to give you a nomination. Almost hypocritical.

But all that aside; it looks like the academy is trying their best to get you a nomination and an appointment. Being you haven't gotten the TWE yet is still hopeful. I really hope it comes through for you. An LOA is a great tool the academy has at it's disposal. I hate to see an LOA recipient not get in. Best of luck to you. Here's praying that it all works out.
