Are we supposed to submit the application in order for the emails to go through? I know it says that once you hit save and continue it immediately sends the email, but my guidance counselor is not getting them when I press it.

Can you clarify the question ? What part of the application are you referring to ? Reading between the lines, it appears to be the Teacher Evaluations -- where entering their names initiates an email to the teacher with the eval. If that is the case, it could be one of a handful of problems:
1) Entering name doesn't create an automatic /instantaneous email (like you get when you reset password), but rather initiates a chain where USNA sends the teacher eval separately; 2) the teacher email is going to SPAM/JUNK filter (this is common); or there is a glitch in the BGIS system. (I presume you are in one of the states where it has been released an is being tested).

My recommendation:

1) Be patient, wait a day or so to see if the teacher email is triggered.
2) Ask teacher to check junk /spam filter
3) After 1 & 2, reach out to your Admissions Counselor, explain the problem (more clearly than you did above). If it is a software issue, they will appreciated the feedback.

Be happy you have your application to work on. Some states, like mine, are still waiting.

Ok, thank you, sir! Yes, it was for the teacher evals, academic info, and verification of activities.

I noticed in some of your posts you are appreciative and courteous, using “sir” - there are quite a few “ma’ams” onboard, so a simple thank you is safe and sufficient. If you enter the military, there will be plenty of opportunity to up your usage of those terms. I just happened to notice it here, not saying in this post it’s incorrect. Some people have it in their profile.

Understood, thank you for letting me know!

I'm bouncing between here and the candidate facebook group. One of the admins posted candidate numbers went out today! Very exited to be here.

For those of you that received it, where do you see your BGO name and contact info? Thanks.

No one has been assigned BGO's yet as they are working on distributing them, but other contact info will be on the "Points of Contact" tab before you go to your application to start/continue.

I'm sorry if I came off that way. I meant no disrespect and just wanted to figure out a discrepancy I had. I am very grateful my application is open, and I hope everyone else's does soon (as I can see they are!). Good luck with everyone's applications! :)

I figured you weren’t being disrespectful. I was being impatient. I (hopefully) go back to school soon and wanted access like others had before school started. Good luck.

Our son ran into an issue last round. He listed the school's main phone number, knowing teacher's weren't in their classrooms. Teachers when retrieving the eval had to input the same number he did. When they entered their class numbers it wouldn't work. Make sure you use one consistent number and that your teachers know what number you input. Good luck to you!

so this year the application does not ask for phone number - so maybe they deleted that from the application this year bc of issues like you mentioned.....my DD was so excited when she got it today she filled it all out!!

I don't doubt it. Just make sure she takes her time. An early appliation is lovely, but only if it the absolute best application she can submit. :)
