So I didn't receive an appointment this year... Well on the bright side, it looks like I have plenty of work I can still salvage off my file. :thumb:
I already wrote on my resumes that I participated in SLS as well as Boys' State.

Would it be alright to mention to other colleges that I received a congressional nomination for a particular service academy? Should I mention on my resume that I was congressionally nominated by Representative/ Senator X to USXX?

If not to colleges, then how about for jobs, internships, scholarships etc?
And finally, would an ROTC scholarship offer count as an "academic achievement?" Thanks for reading!

It's your college application and/or job resume. if you think there's a category where such information would seem pertinent; e.g. leadership, character, etc... then definitely include it. It's not like it's against the law or anything. When doing college and job apps, you just want to make sure that while it's good to boast about your accomplishments, you aren't just providing meaningless fluff to make it "Look" impressive. But if it looks like it can contribute to a category on the application, then definitely go for it. mike....
