Appointee tour on 11 Apr

It's no problem getting through the gate with Uber between 9am and 6pm. My son, who was there today for the appointee tour, did get through the gate before 8am with an Uber driver but he showed his military ID which, I believe, technically made the Uber driver his guest. He's not sure he would have been able to get through outside of the 9-6 hours without his credentials. If your child is heading in alone and doesn't have DoD creds, it's probably a good idea to talk to someone at USAFA ahead of time. The good news is my DS is ready to accept his nomination after the visit!!

I hear there is one next week on the 18th. Sounds like they're very beneficial, but we can't wing it if we plan to take my son to I Day on June 30th, me fly solo for A Day on August 9th and attend parents' weekend in September. Luckily he's fine with it. For anyone who can make it, it sounds like there's a lot of good information given.
