For those of you who have received appointments from multiple academies, which academy do you think sends the coolest appointment letter?

I have been fortunate enough to receive appointments from both USMA and USNA, and I think the presentation on USMA's was a little nicer. It was cool to see the first words as, "on behalf of the President of the United States of America," on the very top. Although I may not support the President on all his views, I still think it is awesome to receive such mail in his name.

Any personal opionions on the appointment letters>

The appointment from Navy came in a nice blue presentation folder, while the one from Air Force just came in a white paper folder. However, my nice navy folder had a coffee ring stain on it, so I say Air Force wins

falcongirl - my understanding is that AF waits to send you the "nice" folder until after you ACCEPT the appointment. I believe in most cases it is sent to your ALO rather than directly to you so that they can present it to you, either by mail, on their own, or through your school's awards presentations night. I know you accepted yours awhile ago so let me know if this isn't the case!

Was the coffee stain there when it arrived or did mom or dad use your nice folder as a coaster?

The coffee stain actually was on the folder when it came in the mail, although it wouldn't surprise me if my dad, an Air Force Academy grad ('78, RTB!), DID use it as a coaster :shake:
