Appointment

I'm in the same spot. I think our MOC probably notifies candidates of their nomination before they send it over to admissions, and they have to process it and update the portal, so it probably just takes a little bit, being that its the holidays. A representative from my MOC office said admissions will be notified of nomination by the second week of January. I got notified of nom by MOC on December 21st.
 
MOC nom slates are not due to SAs until 1/31. So while candidates may have been informed, SAs may not yet. (By the way, as your headline implies, don’t mix up nominations and appointments.)

I thought the same thing. His son was accepted into the USAF prep school last year. Not sure if that changes anything ... I didn’t see an LOA post.
 
I have a freshmen at USAFA now. Hoping my youngest will become a direct. I am not referring to the appointment but the nomination. I am extremely familiar with the entire process. Last year it never took this long for my other son's portal to update. We received the nomination December 24, but we shall remain patient. Goodluck and Happy New year to everyone!!!
