Hello everybody...I know this is my first time posting, but I have been looking over these forums for a while now and I would just like to thank all of those who spent their time answering questions. It was really helpful to me during the process.

Just want to let everybody know that I received appointments to the Naval Academy and West Point...Naval on Feb. 9th and West Point on Feb. 15th. Thank you again!

Go Navy! Class of 2011...here I come!

My D has applied to USNA and is still waiting, from Laguna Niguel, in Orange County. Good luck! Little more humid (and cold) in Annapolis than Southern California!

Navy88! Great first post! Congrats. I would like to be the first to say GO NAVY & that you will look much better in whites. :D Nice going with the appointments. To receive two must have had your decision making processes close to a big melt down. Go do big things! And above all, keep your sense of humor Plebe year. :thumb:

I hope your D get her appointment navy81!!!!!

Thanks...actually the decision was quite easy for me. I have wanted to attend Annapolis since I stepped foot into my high school and since I got my appointment, the decision ended up being painless. I just feel fortunate to even get one appointment let alone two.

Does anybody know what the chances are of getting two appointments? Is there a statistical percentage?

Thanks

To answer your question:

You know what West Point cadets and Navy midshipman have in common?

They both got into West Point.

Hmmmmm - could be true. It is human nature that when faced with a decision to make between two choices, most choose the easiest path. :thumb:

Hmmmmm ... somehow "easiest" seems oxymoronic?:jaw: :screwy:

And as to the "chances" 88? I'd guess about the same as those of Army beating Navy.:tank1: :rocket:

What we do know? You picked a winner! Congrats and see you 27 June!

GO GOATS! WHOOP WOOPS!

The boy had a choice between USNA and AFA.

He obviously made a great choice: USNA c/o 2011! :thumb:

btw, love the smilies here! What a selection!
