When do y’all think WP admission board will meet again for the next wave of appointments ?

The USNA admissions board meets every week (Thursdays) and I've heard that USMA meets every week as well although I don't know which day. The admissions board reviewing records does not trigger a "wave". There are steps after the admissions board especially "slating" which have to take place.

I wanna say I heard somehwere that they meet on Tuesdays and that it will typically take 3 days from then for your congress member to inform you if you received your appointment. That timeline would make sense from my experience, although I did get notified before hand on Thursday night when I was notified through my candidate portal.

Typically I'd expect to hear about it Friday at the earliest. I'm sure someone probably has better more accurate information.

Your application may or may not be reviewed this week. A decision on your candidacy may or may not be made this week. It’s just as likely that those things will happen for you next week or the week after or the week after that.

In other words, it makes little sense to speculate as to how long until you hear based on the day of the week the admissions committee convenes. It’s terrible to wait. It truly stinks. But the military is a lot about “hurry up and wait.”

I kindly suggest you channel your valuable and limited energy to other pursuits, such as enjoying senior year and spending quality time with family and friends. Soon enough you’ll know your fate, and at that point many people regret not focusing on the ones the love. 😉

So, there is no 'second wave'--now there is a steady flow of appointments each week...that is lighter some weeks and heavier others. It is hard to wait. If you are 3Q with a nom, there is nothing to do but wait. Not hearing does not mean you are not going to have an appointment. You may or you may not. You are Schrodinger's Candidate. You will know by 1 May either way.
 
I say that every year. Other universities do not let applicants know until a certain date. USMA says they do not do 'rolling admissions' but it feels that way to the candidates. We know it can be very discouraging to be waiting until March and April, which seem like forever from this date in late January. All they can do it wait and keep faith. It is hard.
