DS is a MS-1 and he said there are some scholarship cadets that barely pass. I know my DS was very pumped to get a 565 on the ACFT. They do keep track of where you fall against your peers.

That's awesome stuff. DS said what drives him crazy is the low numbers brings down the Battalion average, so it makes everyone look bad.

Is the mentioned award certificate/letter mailed after accepting scholarship thru portal or when you selected to receive it. My DS was awarded scholarship at last board. I’d like to send pic of it into his HS so he gets recognized during end of year scholars banquet. Thank You!

My DS got his BFE in the regular mail about a week after the second board. If they are working on the same schedule you should be getting it in the mail this week. My DS accepted the scholarship the same day the results came out.
 
Is anyone’s portal down. My DD tried to see if her acceptance letter changed off the P and the website seems to be completely offline

That is great! My DS was 535 in his first semester so was pleased with his improvement but not satisfied. It is interesting that he is only a semester and a half into ROTC and I notice the changes in his approach, maturity and leadership. I told him I was proud of his 565 and he said more is expected of cadets on the Ranger Challenge team and he has room to improve.

I do not know what triggers CC to send the award certificate. My son accpeted the scholarship the very minute he found out on the portal.
Interesting though was before the portal was open he got emails from VMI, Norwich, and Citadel a few days before portal notified him as a recipient.
