DS received a 4-year to his #1, #2 and #4 schools.

4-year to 3 out of top 4 choices. Applied 1st board, received this 2nd board. Congrats to all others who received the scholarship offer!

Portals are being updated to winner for selectees, and we are allowed to contact the winners.

Possibly - I think I remember in years past that the results were uploaded over a period of time (hours), but I am just speculating.

Pre-release is when the list of winners is released to all of the schools. Typically there would be a time gap between pre-release and portal updates. Not much of a gap in this case. Probably because cadet commands computers are about to explode from all of the activity from this group!

Are any 4 years awarded on the 3rd board?

Yes! - BUT - most of the 4 years that are awarded on the 3rd Board are awarded to candidates that are only Boarded on the last Board. If you did not receive a 3 year on Board 2 - a 4-yr on Board 3 in unlikely.

In years past, the majority of the 3rd board awards are 3 year, but there are 4-yrs awarded too.

You are able to request a change to a school you are accepted to. You should still accept the scholarship before you request a change though.

Yeah, just checked and it was applicants in this status weren’t selected to receive a scholarship this board.. sad news but I’ve got plans B, C, and D in case everything else doesn’t work out.

Read the information under the Additional Info tab. All of the transfer information is covered there. Cadet Command is very accommodating about transfer requests. Do your research so you understand exactly what just happened and what you have won.....
