So, I received multiple Army ROTC offers. The school I wish to attend gave me a 3-year offer and I plan on taking it. The first year without financial assistance will be really rough. I was just wondering if I fall under the stipend and book allowance benefits that ROTC scholarship awardees receive. If not, this first year will be even rougher than I had initially imagined. :(

Unfortunatly you would not receive any stipend or book money your first year. The 3 year AD does not start until your sophomore year, stipends and book money will start your sophomore year as well. Look back through previous threads there is a lot of info that goes over 3 year AD Scholarships.

Remember the 3 year AD is not a guarantee, you still need to meet certain requirements and have the PMS's recommendation.

I only say this as a caution, make sure you can afford the college you choose in case something happens between your freshman and sophomore year.
